Process
When uploading work via our FTP please call beforehand to gain an access password and to let us know it’s on its way.
Files sent via FTP should be placed in a folder with your company name and date as the folder name.
Any work that arrives via FTP can not be booked into production without your written instructions or a clear order.

How to upload
In order to be able to upload your folders you will first need an ftp program. A free ftp program is available to download here filezilla-project.org.

To download the program follow the links on the site to download the Filezilla Client and then select the version that suits the computer you are using. The program should start downloading automatically but if not, then you might have to prompt the program to download. On Internet Explorer you can do this by right clicking the yellow bar that appears at the top of your browser.

Follow the on screen instructions from here and Filezilla should successfully install onto your computer.
You are now ready to upload your folders.

Start Filezilla and a window should a appear looking like this, the layout of the four windows may vary depending on which operating system you are using.

In the boxes at the top it asks for the host address, username, password and port number.

These need to be filled in with the correct information in order for you to connect to us. Please enter the Host and Username into these boxes exactly as they are written below. For the password you will need to call us on 01761 431300 and we will let you know what this is. It is not given here for security reasons. The Port box can be left blank.

Username: colourstudios.local/FTP

Once entered, click the Quickconnect button and the program will connect to our system and the windows will fill in with files.

The left or upper two windows, depending on your operating system, are your computer while the two on the right or bottom are our system. Use the windows for your computer to browse to the folder you renamed as per the instructions at the top of this page. Once you have found it, you simply need to drag and drop it onto the window which shows our system.

Your folder will then copy across to our system, this might take a few minutes depending on the folder size and your connection speed.

If you keep this Filezilla link on your desk top you can use it to transfer files to our FTP site in the future.
